The original Exterminator film was a down and dirty exploitation film that didn't pull any punches and introduced us to the wonders of the flamethrower (amongst other things) Exterminator 2 brings back the star of the first film, but doesn't have any of the charm of the first film.

The Slayer is a nice little slasher film that takes dream into account inside of it's madness. The film has a very creeping feel to it and the filmmakers are able to keep this feeling all the way until the end. The effects are really well done and kind of gross at the same time.

The Dead Next Door is a passion project from a filmmaker who didn't care about the fame or the money. He just wanted to make a horror film that he could show around town. He not only did this, but he got his entire town (Arkin, Ohio) to get in on the action and be a part of the film as it was being made.

Blind Fury is a solid action film highlighted by an amazing fight scene between Rutger Hauer and Sho Kosugi. Silent Rage is a wannabe slasher film starring Chuck Norris. White Line Fever is your typical "Man Against the Establishment" film highlighted by a really good performance by Jan Michael Vincent.

For all that is done well in the film, Madhouse is a mess of a film, one that wants to scare us, but fails to do so. That being said, Madhouse is not a total waste of a film. There are some scenes that play very well and the dog is used very well. Arrow has done a nice job with the film, all things considered.

Dario Argento considers Phenomena is favorite of the films that he has made. I have to agree with the man. The film is loaded with beautiful imagery and has enough scary moments to keep you on the edge of you seat. This set from Arrow includes three versions of the film plus some of the best special features of the year.
