Full Moon Finally Announces A Blu-ray Release The Primevals Along With 2 Video Store Classics *****THE PRIMEVALS UPDATE*****

Full Moon has announced that SHADOWZONE (1990), SEEDPEOPLE (1992), and THE PRIMEVALS (2023) are making their way to blu-ray. SHADOWZONE and SEEDPEOPLE are available now with THE PRIMEVALS releasing on September 10th.

WE finally have an update for the PRIMEVALS release and it is not going to go over well with people. Go to the PRIMVEALS section below.

Welcome to the sleepy little town of Comet Valley, where nothing much exciting ever happens. That is, until the town is invaded by sentient plants from outer space! Intent on taking over the Earth, this fearsome foliage has found a diabolical way to pollinate humans, turning them into walking, talking and killing "Seedpeople"!  Can Comet Valley's resourceful residents fight off the alien invaders, or is the planet doomed to become a savage garden of alien evil?

SEEDPEOPLE will be presented in the film's almost original aspect ratio of 1.78:1 and will feature the film's original Videozone making of (loved these things growing up) and a bevy of Full Moon trailers.

After someone is killed in the subterranean project called "Shadowzone," a NASA captain is called in to investigate. In the project, sleeping subjects are induced into a deep EDS state whereby they become portals to a parallel universe. Unfortunately this causes adverse reactions in the subject, and something gets through the portal, the consequence of which is an attrition problem.

SHADOWZONE will presented in the film's almost original aspect ratio of 1.78:1. The only features will be the film's original trailer along with Full Moon trailers.

After a Yeti is killed by a group of Sherpa, a team of university scientists travels to Nepal to find the creature's origins. Teaming up with a rugged tracker, the group set out from the Sherpa village and, after a large avalanche, discover a hidden primeval land populated by prehistoric creatures, ancient hominids, and an alien reptilian species.

There is no information available at this time regarding the blu-ray features and whatnot, but I hope they include the features on the Austrailian blu-ray.

*****UPDATE*****

Charles Band has revealed all of the special features along with the packaging for this set. Coming to blu-ray on June 10th is a massive set with a bunch of swag and whatnot. This set costs $120 and is the ONLY WAY TO GET THE FILM ON BLU-RAY FOR THE TIME BEING. We have waited all this time to finally see this film and Band decides he wants to get in on that FOMO that all of the other studios are using to sell their premium editions by making this set LIMITED TO 500 UNITS. This is a middle finger to the people who have waited. Not everyone can afford the ridiculous $120 price. He should release the standard edition on the same day for us poor people who can't pay that much for a blu-ray. What kind of shit is this?

I know that Band is a salesman first and foremost but he should have looked at how the other companies do release their stuff before committing to this. People will say "Well, Arrow Video does the same thing with their Limited Editions." They do but they don't overprice their Limited Edition (for the most part. There have been a few times they had a higher price than normal.) You can buy the Limited Edition, which are priced fairly, or you can wait for the standard edition that comes out later on. They also don't charge $120 FOR A BLU-RAY. Yes, you get a fancy box and some other shit but people just want to watch the fucking film.

Now, Band does say that the standard edition will come out later but he can't say when as he brushes it off. Band doesn't care whether you get to see the film. All he cares about is making that sweet, sweet cash. The Limited Edition is going to sell out anyway, why can't we get a standard edition the same day. It would make even more people happy. He is missing out on more money by not releasing a standard edition at the same time.

Now, I will say this disc is stacked. We get two different cuts of the film, a making-of doc, and a bunch of other features.

Anyway, below is the information along with the video Band released on YouTube earlier today.
