Evil Bong 888: Infinity High (Full Moon Features) Blu-ray Review + 1080p Screenshots + Packaging Shots

While the Evil Bong series doesn't get the epic send off you would expect from the film's title, it does get a good Blu-ray release.

What's It About?

When he's finally given a chance to go legit by opening a restaurant, Rabbit (series regular Sonny Carl Davis) can't stop himself from sliding back to his old ways. With Eebee as his Master Chef, weed is definitely on the menu and this high-end joint is the toke of the town. Staffed with tons of familiar faces and fan favorite buds, will Rabbit end on a high note? Or will he be chopped by the cops in a kitchen nightmare that goes up in smoke?

Video/Audio

Shot digitally, and presented in the film's original aspect ratio of 1.78:1, EVIL BONG 888: INFINITY HIGH looks exactly how you would think it would look for being a fairly recent film. Detail is high, colors are strong, and skin tones look great. Both Dolby Digital tracks are lossless but get the job done. I do not have anything to complain about when it comes to the visuals and audio.

Extras/Packaging

Full Moon Channel on Amazon Promo (1m 26s, HD, 1.78:1) plays at disc startup and is not available to watch from the menu

Bad to the Bong (38m 52s, HD, 1.78:1) I was very disappointed with this feature. I thought it was going to be a retrospective documentary looking back on the entire series but all it is is a glorified clipshow, condencing the entire series down to 38 minutes. What a wasted opportunity.

Totally High Trailers

  • Evil Bong (1m 31s, HD, 1.78:1)
  • Evil Bong 2: King Bong (1m 11s, HD, 1.78:1)
  • Evil Bong 3: Wrath of Bong (59s, HD, 1.78:1)
  • Gingerdead Man vs Evil Bong (1m 25s, HD, 1.78:1)
  • Evil Bong 420 (1m 24s, HD, 1.78:1)
  • Evil Bong: High-5 (1m 32s, HD, 1.78:1)

  • Evil Bong 888 - Infinity High (1m 36s, HD, 1.78:1)
  • Weedjies: Halloweed Night (1m 56s, HD, 2.35:1)
  • The Gingerweed Man (1m 20s, HD, 2.35:1)
Packaging wise, EVIL BONG 888's is pretty standard. The front cover shows us an epic we don't get but the art is serviceable.

The film is divided up into 21 chapters.

The disc is REGION FREE

Overall

EVIL BONG 888 is a decent flick. It is better than the few previous films in the series but isn't say very much as most of these films are exactly the same. Like the other films in the series, this one is not directed by someone who has ever been high. This means jokes fall flat and the comedy is fairly devoid of anything that a pothead would find remotely funny. Still, the film has a gentle spirit to it and you can't hate on that. The film does not have the send of it deserves but it is still a fun flick.
