Inside the Packaging is a thing I like to run from time to time where I post pictures of the packaging for blu-ray releases I like. While I am not a fan of upcharging people for packaging (that use to be build into the price) but I do love the packaging. Some of my favorite releases like GAMERA: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION, HELLRAISER: THE SCARLET BOX, and HAMMER HORROR REDUX: THE BLU-RAY COLLECTION all have some of my favorite home media packaging of all time.
Today, we are taking a look at the packaging for the Arrow Video Blu-ray release of SHAWSCOPE VOL. 3.
SHAWSCOPE VOL. 3 contains 14 martial arts films produced through the famous Shaw Brothers Studios in Hong Kong. Shaw Brothers is very famous for their 60s and 70s martial arts films like 36TH CHAMBER OF SHAOLIN, FIVE DEADLY VENOMS, and 5 FINGERS OF DEATH.
This collection brings together 14 classic Shaw Brothers martial arts films, including the ONE ARMED SWORDSMAN trilogy, BASTARD SWORDSMAN, and THE AVENGING EAGLE. Each film is given a slew of special features, including commentary tracks from the likes of Samm Deighan, Tony Rayns, and Frank Djeng.
This is an awesome collection that any martial arts fan would love to have in their collection.
