Another year, another Shaw Brothers box set from Arrow Video. This time around, the set focuses mostly on horror films from the late 70s and early 80s. This is a great set that belongs in any martial arts fan’s collection.

This fourth release in the Shawscope line of Blu-rays from Arrow Video contains 16 films mostly horror films bur there's also SUPER INFRA-MAN, which is kind of a weird inclusion here being one of the only films in the set that is not a horror film. I would have thought they would have paired it up with THE MIGHTY PEKING MAN, which was found in the first volume, but they must not have had the rights locked in when they did volume one. Still, I am happy to have the film as I love it so much. We also get the US version of the film which is an interesting edit.
We get the usual extras we have come to love from Arrow Video releases. We get commentary tracks, appreciations and trailers. The thing about this release is that most of the special features are not on the disc with their respective films but on a bonus disc. Every film gets a commentary track while SUPER INFRA-MAN and TWINKLE TWINKLE LUCKY STAR do get their special features on their discs but that is because they have their own discs. This is because those two films contain multiple versions of the films. Still, the special features are a lot of fun and worth taking a look at.
